Electrician – Water & Wastewater

Location: Walsall / Midlands, with occasional travel and stays away
Salary: Up to £40,000, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate
Hours: 38 hours per week, plus overtime

We’re looking for a fully qualified Electrician to join a growing mechanical and electrical team delivering work across water and wastewater sites. Most projects are in the Midlands, although some will require travel and staying away.

The company

Our client is a specialist water engineering business backed by a large UK group. Its teams work on pumping plant, control systems, instrumentation and essential infrastructure. The business invests in training and has a strong record of promoting people from within.

What you’ll be doing

As an Electrician, you’ll:

• Install, service and maintain industrial electrical equipment on water and wastewater sites.
• Work on pumping plant, motor starters, control panels and associated systems.
• Carry out fault finding, panel wiring and remedial works.
• Support inspection, testing and initial verification where qualified.
• Work with site teams to complete jobs safely and to a high standard.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a fully qualified Electrician with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical installation qualification, plus the 18th Edition. You’ll bring solid industrial electrical skills, a practical approach to fault finding and a full UK driving licence.

Water industry experience would be useful, as would familiarity with pumps, PLCs or instrumentation. You’ll be comfortable travelling and staying away when projects require it.
