Electrical Improver – Water Industry

Location: Field based, working across water industry sites
Pay: Up to £19 per hour, plus overtime
Travel: Paid door to door

We’re looking for an Electrical Improver to support electrical installation work on water and wastewater projects. This is a chance to gain practical site experience, work alongside qualified electricians and build towards becoming a fully qualified Electrician.

The company

Our client is an established contractor delivering electrical works across the water sector. You’ll join experienced site teams and have the opportunity to develop your skills while working on essential infrastructure projects.

What you’ll be doing

As an Electrical Improver, you’ll:

• Assist qualified electricians with installations, upgrades and maintenance.
• Help install cabling, containment, equipment and associated electrical systems.
• Support testing, fault finding and commissioning under supervision.
• Follow site safety procedures and keep work areas safe and organised.
• Build your knowledge of electrical systems used on water and wastewater sites.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an Electrical Improver with some electrical training or qualifications already completed, or currently working towards them. Previous site experience would be useful, particularly in an industrial or water environment, but your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn matter just as much.

You’ll be comfortable travelling to project sites and working as part of a team. A relevant ECS card would be an advantage.
