Industrial Electrician – Water Industry

Base: Reading, with field work across Southern Water and Thames Water sites
Pay: Up to £23 per hour, plus overtime
Hours: 42-hour basic week; overtime paid after 42 hours
Travel: Paid door to door

We’re looking for an Industrial Electrician to join a well-known SME delivering electrical work across the water industry. This is a field-based role with a mix of installation, servicing and maintenance, plus the chance to train in ICA work as your experience grows.

Our client is an established specialist contractor with a strong reputation for supporting water sector projects. You’ll join a team that knows its work, values practical engineering skills and invests in developing its electricians.

What you’ll be doing

As an Industrial Electrician, you’ll work across operational water and wastewater sites, carrying out:

• Electrical installation and upgrades to industrial equipment and systems.
• Planned servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
• Testing, inspections and completion of site documentation.
• Electrical work alongside project and ICA teams.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a qualified Industrial Electrician with hands-on installation and maintenance experience in industrial environments. Experience on water or wastewater sites would be particularly useful. You’ll be comfortable travelling to sites, working safely around operational assets and tackling a varied workload.

If you’re an Industrial Electrician keen to broaden your skills, there’s training available to help you move into instrumentation, control and automation work.
