Site Engineer – Water & Civil Engineering

Location: Worcester or surrounding area, with travel to project sites
Salary: Up to £55,000
Type: Permanent, full time

We’re recruiting a Site Engineer to support civil engineering schemes in the Severn Trent Water region. You’ll be close to the work on site, making sure setting out, technical information and quality records are right as projects move forward.

Our client is a growing civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure projects across the Midlands and beyond. Its work spans water, highways, drainage and structures, and its water sector workload is expanding. With schemes to deliver through to Christmas and around £30 million in the pipeline for 2027, this is a good time to join the team.

What you’ll be doing

As a Site Engineer, you’ll work alongside Site Agents, project managers and subcontractors to help deliver works safely and accurately. Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting out civil engineering works and checking levels, lines and dimensions.
• Reviewing drawings and raising technical queries before they affect progress.
• Carrying out inspections and maintaining quality assurance records.
• Recording completed works and supporting as-built information.
• Monitoring subcontractor work against drawings and specifications.
• Keeping clear site records and helping resolve practical engineering issues.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects and be confident with setting out equipment, drawings and site documentation. Experience in water, drainage, pipelines, groundworks or reinforced concrete would be particularly useful.

You’ll need to communicate well with site teams and take ownership of the accuracy of your work. A relevant engineering qualification, CSCS card and full UK driving licence would be expected.
