Site Agent – Water & Civil Engineering

Location: Worcester or surrounding area, with travel to project sites
Salary: Up to £65,000
Type: Permanent, full time

We’re recruiting a Site Agent to deliver civil engineering projects for Severn Trent Water. With a busy run of schemes through to Christmas and approximately £30 million in the pipeline for 2027, this is a chance to join a contractor whose water sector workload is growing quickly.

The company

Our client is a rapidly expanding civil engineering contractor with a growing reputation for delivering complex infrastructure. Its wider work covers highways, structures, flood defence and other civil engineering schemes, while its water sector presence continues to develop across the Severn Trent and Thames regions. You’ll join a team where experienced site leaders can have a direct impact on delivery and future growth.

What you’ll be doing

As a Site Agent, you’ll take responsibility for day-to-day site operations on water infrastructure schemes. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives to:

• Plan and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontract works.
• Drive safe delivery while keeping works on programme and to specification.
• Manage RAMS, inductions, briefings and site inspections.
• Monitor progress, record changes and flag risks early.
• Maintain accurate quality records and project documentation.
• Build strong working relationships with site teams and the client.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have experience as a Site Agent or in a similar site leadership position on civil engineering projects. Water sector experience would be particularly relevant, alongside a solid grasp of groundworks, drainage, pipelines or associated infrastructure.

You’ll need to be comfortable leading teams, managing subcontractors and solving practical delivery problems. CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid and a full UK driving licence would be expected for the role.
