A good CV is easy to read and easy to prove
When I review a CV, I’m looking for the scope of the person’s work. Job titles only tell part of the story. A site agent on a small scheme might have carried more responsibility than somebody with a grander title on a much bigger one.
For hiring managers, focus on the projects, value, disciplines, team size and what the individual personally delivered. Ask where the facts are unclear instead of guessing.
A clean two or three page CV with useful detail will usually tell you more than a designed document full of graphics and very little substance.
