Job Overview & Description

Project Manager – Critical Infrastructure

Location: Oxfordshire or West London, with travel to project and office locations

We’re looking for a Project Manager – Critical Infrastructure to deliver projects across essential UK infrastructure. This role sits within a team specialising in the security of operational assets, including work across the water, defence, energy, transport and telecommunications sectors.

The company

Our client is a major UK contractor with a dedicated critical infrastructure business. Its teams plan, design and deliver physical and electronic security upgrades across complex, live environments. It’s a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects that protect services people rely on every day.

What you’ll be doing

As Project Manager – Critical Infrastructure, you’ll lead projects from initial planning through to delivery. You’ll work with clients, designers, commercial teams and the supply chain to keep programmes safe, on track and commercially sound. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning works and coordinating the project setup before site activity begins.
  • Managing programme progress, quality, health and safety, and CDM requirements.
  • Working with the design team to secure information needed for delivery.
  • Building productive relationships with clients, their representatives and subcontractors.
  • Reviewing project finances and taking responsibility for contract performance.
  • Supporting and developing the teams delivering the work.

What we’re looking for

Previous experience delivering MEPH projects is essential, alongside a relevant ONC, HNC, engineering degree or equivalent NVQ qualification. You’ll need strong leadership skills, sound commercial awareness and the ability to manage several priorities without losing sight of safety or quality.

This Project Manager – Critical Infrastructure opportunity could suit an established Project Manager or a Senior Project Manager looking for a new challenge.

Why consider it?

You’ll work on technically varied projects across critical national infrastructure, with the backing of an established contractor. The package includes a competitive salary, holiday entitlement that increases with service, pension, professional membership support and access to private medical scheme options.

If you’re a Project Manager – Critical Infrastructure with MEPH experience and want to hear more, apply today or contact J3A Recruitment for a confidential conversation about the Project Manager – Critical Infrastructure role.
