Preparing for an interview on a live project role
Read the advert and learn a little about the employer, but spend most of your prep on your own examples. Pick projects that show your responsibility, the challenge, your decisions and the outcome.
Know the figures you can discuss: project value, programme, size of team, technical scope and the standards or permits involved. If you were part of a wider team, say what you personally owned.
Bring questions about site location, reporting lines, delivery risks and support. Good questions show that you are thinking about the actual job.
